Social Media Aggregation

The International Social Media Aggregator is a proprietary tool that collects the latest content from social media outlets to help you organize and target current, emerging and niche markets across the web. Unique to BlueWall’s Aggregator is a translate function, which allows you to search social media content from anywhere in the world -- an essential in staying ahead of the evolving market.

This is different from a traditional search engine in that it emphasizes unusual content being generated in real-time in the farthest corners of the Internet, what we call Marginalia, instead of links that have already been well established. A Google search for “Coca-Cola” is always going to give you http://www.coca-cola.com as its first result; minmagnet is more likely to give you a tweet from somebody who just drank one in Greece.

We estimate that we mine more than 3 trillion sources in every language, which means increased opportunity through:

  • Greater ease in finding and joining active real-time conversations to create brand awareness, link backs, and buzz.
  • Direct access to qualified leads, which can be transformed into new members, customers, event attendees, Facebook friends, etc.
  • A deeper understanding of the types of content users are sharing, linking to, posting, tweeting, etc.
  • Easier ways of creating channels, filters, mash-ups and syndication that you can monetize.
  • More accurate and efficient way of unlocking hidden metrics behind traffic, content.
  • Popularity and competition to generate web analytics, market indexes and Internet Temperature.

Add a list of keywords and phrases into the Memeplex and build a real-time portal with a page per individual keyword, or running an individual query, which we call “magnets.” Both will quickly return all sorts of relevant content from searches you’d otherwise have to run separately — photos, Tweets, blog posts, videos — and others that some traditional search engines couldn’t handle at all.

Take foreign languages and alphabets, for example — we made a special effort to keep minmagnet compliant with Unicode, the international standard for computerized representations of non-English characters. Beyond that, we also built a special translation tool that makes it easy to quickly see how the subject you’re interested in is represented in other parts of the world.

We’ve also integrated an extensive API — that’s just geek-speak for the idea that we provide all this information in a variety of streams and formats that most computer languages can understand easily. Making the data easy to access in turn makes it easy to integrate minmagnet with other web sites, services, and applications.

Once you’ve got access to the data, you can do whatever you want with it — the sky is really the limit. We find it useful for creating web and mobile pages, RSS feeds, charts and graphs, code for programs to interface with.

All of which is easy because we’ve also found ways to filter the data by creating content parity and present the results through digestable themes. We’ve come up with a few interesting ways of looking at these results, including:

  • Stream presents aggregated items in a long list, and clicking on any item loads a secondary section with more information, such as user information and related content.
  • Social Stats focuses on activity in social networks, listing the matching user accounts and compiling information like “popular links being posted.”
  • Cards presents each item like it's part of a set of trading cards.
  • Grid is similar to Cards, but it more densely clusters the aggregated items and then provides buttons to look for further information on the item as in the Stream interface.
  • iPhone is a mobile interface that duplicates the iPhone's native menus using the iUI library.
  • Digest looks for text-oriented content and compiles matching items into a single “newspaper front page.”
  • Word Cloud counts the frequency of word use in the aggregated results and prints the most common terms in larger fonts.

Yet, while these themes can be custom-fit to your brand, web site and needs, we also love to collaborate. So if you’ve got ideas of your own, pitch them!
